Eggs for Everyone!

Happy Palm Sunday Everyone!

One more week to wait before it's time to eat those chocolate eggs. I've now spent quite sometime wondering which egg I want. But it's a big decision so I thought I'd share my ponderings with you guys.

Also, if you're really into good photo quality, this post is not for you. There's no way I'd take my big camera on a shopping trip. We don't have a car, we carry all of our groceries home. With our little hands. We eat a lot. There's no space to carry a big camera. Phone is ok.

Asda has been the best place for chocolate eggs so far. They have a whole aisle full of them.

Small eggs, medium eggs, large eggs, giant eggs — they have it all!

It makes me happy when chocolate eggs make me smile. In fact, this whole aisle made me very happy!

These Thorntons eggs look pretty tasty. And definitely weird enough.

Baileys and Guinness eggs are of course also available. I'm intrigued.

Kinder Eggs have their own large versions too.

And of course the giant egg section had some serious chocolate eggs. I was so excited that I just couldn't hold my phone still.

But Lindt was the best one! Look at all the bunnies!

And they have carrots too!

And soft toys!

I can't believe Laura didn't let me have that one. I'm so gutted.

Then I went to Tesco, and they actually have giant Lindt carrots!!

Thorntorns bunnies and chicks are pretty awesome too. Can you understand why choosing the best egg is so difficult?

And, because this egg thing is probably completely... well,  foreign to Finnish people, I thought I might show you that all the chocolates have their own version.

There's Galaxy and Mars. Amusingly next to each other.

Then there's Malteasers' MaltEasters and Cadbury's Caramel and Minieggs giant eggs.

And Mars' friend collection egg with Snickers and Twix. And Wispa and Twirl eggs.

So many to choose from.

What are your chocolate thoughs this Easter?

Studenty challenges and tips!

Some people think that students are just lazy nocturnal creatures who don't need to do much apart from lying around all the time. Especially arts students who rarely have classes to go to. Because I have years of experience of what student life actually is like, I decided to write this blog post to show some of the challenges I've had to face during this past week. It's shocking how hard life can sometimes be for students. And because some of you are students and already understand what your life is like I have an added bonus at the end of this post where I will provide you with fun decoration tips that will make your flat look more student-like.

This week

There are a few essential things in life. The most important one is food. Students love food - especially free food. There's this wonderful pub called Korova in town. Before, I've only ever ended up there when I've been fairly drunk - occasionally too drunk for them to let me in. But last Wednesday we had a little flat outing and went there when they were serving free food. It obviously was mostly just a trick to get students in so that they would buy drinks. This assumption was confirmed when we walked to the bar to ask about the food and the rude lady behind the bar told us that "it's not free", and that we "have to buy drinks first". Well, we did that, and got a plate full of pub food. Not bad for less than £2.

You can't get free food everyday though, and sometimes you have to cook. Cooking is not easy though.

Kata experienced a pea attack.

Frozen peas especially are not easy to deal with. Sometimes they jump on you when you open the freezer. And then there's peas all over the floor - and that's a safety hazard.

Peas where they should be.

If you survive to cooking procedure, you get to eat homecooked food which unsurprisingly tastes a lot better than free pub food. But student life challenges don't end there. Sometimes after a meal you want something sweet. But student fridges are funny places.

Hygiene+ has kidnapped my Swiss chocolate!

My chocolate has frozen to the back wall of my fridge. Is it trying to ensure that I really want to eat the chocolate? Anyhow, it's very inconvenient.

The next thing is not really an inconvenience but it's a thing that students don't tend to do.

Ironing.

Poor Pikachu.

I had to iron this week. Turned out that the Pikachu costume I ordered online was vacuum packaged and if I had worn it without ironing I would have looked like a very wrinkled Pikachu.

See, hard life isn't it?

Okay, now for the  awesome home decorating tips!

Did you just delete me on Facebook?

Well, okay, you probably didn't because this is my blog. And presumably, if you had just deleted me, then you probably wouldn't like me very much. And I don't understand why someone who doesn't even like me would want to read my blog. I would understand if I wrote about something other than my life. But because I mostly really just write about things in my life, the only reason why someone who disliked me would read my blog would be to look for some satisfaction about their life by comparing it to mine. But it would be a lot easier to do that on Facebook.

I'm glad I made sure that you're not the person who deleted me on Facebook. But isn't it annoying when you realise that someone did? Especially when you don't know who. You just know that there's someone who decided that you're not important for them and that they don't even want to know you anymore. It's possibly even more annoying than seeing that your ex-facebook-friend who you were just about to message has deleted you. It's like that, but with the added mystery.

It's sad when someone does not want to be your friend, but in that case it's just easier for me that they deleted themselves from my friend list. It saves my facebook cleaning time and I will have more time to hang out with people who want to be my friends.

This is my Bunny of Internet Connectivity.

Last month I had a chance to spend quality time with some of my favourite real life friends and I feel so happy about it! Those were the happiest moments I've lived for the past year! In this time of internet connectivity, I think I might write a blog post about those moments at some point.

Chocolate at Brown Sugar Cafe, Ballater.

In other technology news, I also bought my very first smart phone! It's pink and has internet. I'm not very good at using it yet, but I like it. It keeps me connected with my friends. On Saturday I used it to take a photo of chocolate I was about to eat so I that I could upload it on Facebook for everyone to see. I may have become one of those people. I'm okay with it. I was adviced to try and be more social. Everyone needs to start somewhere and social media seemed like a good place for that.
